PURPOSE: A device for protecting a battery is provided to use a traditional navigational apparatus of a motor vehicle for turning on/off a head light installed in the motor vehicle. CONSTITUTION: A device for flickering a head light includes:an Alternate Current Circuit(ACC) electric power sensing unit(10) detecting an ACC electric power state supplied from a battery; a head light on/off sensing unit(20) controlling the state of the head light installed in a motor vehicle; and a communicating apparatus(32) containing a Central Processor Unit(CPU) controlling the on/off operation of the head light and a timer controlling the on/off time of the head light.
