PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to discriminate adjacent tracks from each other by forming grooves along recording tracks and forming the respective grooves in such a manner that the cross-sectional shapes of the grooves adjacent to each other vary. SOLUTION: The wobbling grooves and the straight grooves are so formed that their cross-sectional shapes vary, i.e., their width, heights, etc., vary. The max. amplitude to a change in the reflected light quantity when a light spot passes on the wobbling grooves and the max. amplitude of a change in the reflected light quantity when the light spot passes on the straight grooves vary with this magneto-optical disk. Then, on which of the grooves the light spot passes can be detected in the wobbling grooves and the straight grooves by detecting the reflected light quantity when the light spot passes on the grooves, thereby, the discrimination of the adjacent recording tracks is made possible. |
