PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a display cost, and to reduce sub-materials in a logistics by installing a battery upper surface protective member on a storage battery, and integrating the battery upper surface protective member into the storage battery by covering the protective member with a covering member. SOLUTION: A battery upper surface protective member 2 is arranged on the upper surface of a storage battery 1 to be formed in a box shape, and this is inserted into a cylindrical thermally contracting film 3 to be integrally packed in a box shape by contracting the thermally contracting film 3 by applying hot air. In this case, the protective member is adhered/fixed to a battery jar in the part positioned on the lower side than a cut line 4 where an adhesive is arranged on the inside surface of the thermally contracting film 3. A projection such as a terminal and a liquid port plug of the upper surface of the storage battery 1 is protected by the battery upper surface protective member 2, and can be stably stacked at the same time, and since the storage battery is covered with and packed by the thermally contracting film 3 displaying (5) required items, the display content can be easily discriminated. A packing case such as a corrugated board can be obviated.
