PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the durable years of a combustion device for a gas turbine. SOLUTION: A plurality of combustors 100 are connected to each other by a cross fire tube assembly, constituted so as to pass igniting flame 110 from a combustor to another combustor upon starting engine, while respective cross fire tube assemblies of the combustion device for a gas turbine engine are equipped with inlet port means 103, 105 for introducing cooling air for cooling the internal surface of the cross fire tube assembly, which is faced to igniting flame, through film cooling. In this case, a cooling sleeve 107, surrounding the connecting unit of the cross fire tube assembly to the combustor, is provided while the sleeve surrounds the part of the cross fire tube assembly, which is opened in the combustor, to guide cooling air stream 109 into the combustor through the outer surface of the cross fire tube assembly.
