PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out easily a hygienic pure water supply process by capturing Cryptsporidium contained in treating water flowing in from a previous portion of a filter pond by a method wherein a small container is freely detachably attached to an inlet of a filter pond installed to a water purification plant, and a filter layer is formed by containing a filter medium in the container. SOLUTION: A simple filter 11 for discarding by capturing Cryptosporidium in treating water by hygienic pure water treatment in a water purification plant, comprises a small container 15 wherein a filter layer 14 is formed by containing a filter medium 13 inside, and is freely detachably attached to an inlet 12 of a filter pond 4. Thereby, suspended materials of impurities in treating water flowing into from a precipitation pond installed in a previous portion of the filter pond 4, especially Cryptsporidium being one kind of protozoa is captured. The filter medium 13 is made of the same material as that of a filter medium 16 in the filter pond 4, and a bottom part 16 of the small container 15 is formed of a porous material. The Cryptsporidium in the treating water can easily be captured and removed by such a simple structure.
