PURPOSE: An inverse discrete cosine conversion system is provided to prevent a loss in the working velocity by reducing figures on the multiplier of 1 DCT block to N/4, that on the accumulator to N/2. CONSTITUTION: The reverse discrete cosine conversion system comprises; a memory part to store the absolute value of the column matrix of a reverse discrete cosine conversion; N/4 units of multipliers(602, 605) in which an element of a discrete cosine conversion coefficient matrix or a pre-positioned matrix element of one dimension reverse discrete cosine conversion coefficient matrix is inputted as a number to be multiplied and an element of a reverse discrete cosine conversion column matrix is inputted as a multiplier; N/2 units of accumulators(624-627) to receive the outputs of the multiplier and accumulate them.
