PURPOSE: A thermal transfer recording medium is provided to obtain an excellent image and to prevent compression pollution in a case of neglecting to be compressed for a long time. CONSTITUTION: The thermal transfer recording medium for line type sectional thermal print head comprises: a base film; a different type layer formed on one face of the base film; a thermal transferring layer formed over the different type layer; a protective layer formed on the other face of the base film. The different type layer contains ethylene vinylacetate copolymer or ethylene ethylacetate copolymer and a heat melting material.
