PURPOSE: While IPC message limited by 228 Byte or 280Byte between one more than processors is available to be transmitted/receive, the method to transmit/receive the large capacity of IPC messages that one more than 228 Byte or 280 Byte has not been suggested. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of: judging whether a transmitted large-capacity IPC message is an internal message or an external message; comparing the length of internal message with the length of the packet; allocating a buffer of short type or long type temporarily storing the message in this buffer; transferring it to the second operating system; judging whether the IPC message transmitted from the first operating system has been normally received; demanding re-transmission, in the case data errors, and transmitting the received IPC message to a specific process within the second operating system, in case of normal transmission; storing the transmitted IPC message in the long-type buffer and allocating a virtual channel; sequentially assembling the message split in the virtual channel, in case that the received IPC message is not a message last received, and completing the assembling and transmitting the bulk IPC message to the second application program, in case it is the message last received. Consequentially, the method provides a flexible process for large-capacity IPC messages expanded from the 280 byte limit of the operating system to a maximum of four Kbytes at a time, and simultaneously transmit and receive such processed large-capacity IPC messages between processors.
