PURPOSE: A steering column tilting apparatus is provided to tilt the upper column of a steering device, to enhance the productivity, and to reduce the weight of the products and the manufacturing cost. CONSTITUTION: A steering column tilting apparatus comprises:an upper column(1) able to rotate centering a hinge shaft(3) penetrated into a connection part(11); a worm(7) having its middle section interlocked with the passive worm gear(12), and having its upper section fixed with a slave bevel gear(71); a motive bevel gear(41) interlocked with the slave bevel gear of the worm; and a drive motor(4) having the motive bevel gear attached on a motor shaft.
