摘要 PURPOSE: Because of the Bus Reset which occurs when a new device is connected to the bus or a device is detached from the bus in the network connected with IEEE 1394 bus, the bus is temporarily rearranged and the data stream of video or audio is disconnected. CONSTITUTION: The change of state in the port is notified(stage 300). Whether the port has been changed to Connection, not to Empty, is determined(stage 302). If it is already changed to Connection or whether the Bus connection forms a loop is checked(stage 304). As only one cable is needed to connect devices, the loop is necessary. Once a loop is formed, Bus Resetting is halted. If a loop is not formed, the information for the slave node for the constructing Bus is transmitted from slave node to master node(stage 306). The network Bus is reconstructed by the transmitted information for constructing Bus with the information of the master node for constructing Bus(stage 308). Reconstructed Bus-constructing information is transmitted to all devices connected to network(stage 310). At the time of a Bus Reset on an IEEE 1394 network, using only those nodes directly involved does resetting, and not by using all the nodes connected to the Bus. Consequentially, normal data transmission is maintained and data is transmitted incessantly without being interrupted or delayed.
