SOFT SWITCH SINGLE-PHASE ACTIVE RECTIFIER HAVING POWER FACTOR COTROL FUNCTION

PURPOSE: The active rectifier minimizes the switching loss of a switch and a diode by soft switching whenever switching. CONSTITUTION: The active rectifier reduces the loss due to the reverse recovery characteristics of the diode in switching by supplying a switching control signal which enables the switching in the condition of zero voltage or zero current to minimize the switching loss of the switch and the diode. The active rectifier comprises: an inductor(L) suppressing the high frequency current in the inputted common-used power source; a single-phase active rectification part(100) rectifying the common-used power source by the switching operation after improving the power factor; a soft switching part(200) reducing the loss by performing the soft switching to improve the power factor of the single-phase rectification part; a filtering capacitor to filter the voltage outputted from the soft switching part; an input current detection part(300) detecting the current of the common-used power source inputted by a current detection device(CT); an input voltage detection part(400, 500) detecting the output voltage generated in load operation; and a power factor control part(600) controlling switches of the single-phase active rectification part and the soft switching part.
