PURPOSE: Shift register of a driving circuit of a liquid crystal indicator is to be provided which reduces the consumption of electric current by dividing each flip-flop of the shift register into sub-blocks and generating sub clerk signals only for the related blocks. CONSTITUTION: The consumption of power is lessened by latching input signals, which were input when the shift register(30), which has sub registers(30a,..., 30m) with directly interrelated flip-flops as many as N/M(N=the number of all the flip-flops, M= the number of sub registers), is connected to the clock signal controller(35) which has a clock signal generator(35a,..., 35m) started according to each sub register(30a,..., 30m), and each sub register(30a,..., 30m) corresponds only to each clock signal.
