摘要 The filtered data set generated during convolution processing of masked data set is subjected to weighted 3D back projection into a 3D space, thereby 3D image of the region of interest (ROI) in the object (216) is reconstructed in piecewise manner. Radiation energy is applied from cone beam source (210) to ROI of the object. The source scanning trajectory is defined as a spiral scan path (214) being traversed by the cone beam source. Source positions are scanned in direction along scan path to cause area detector (212) to acquire set of cone beam projection data at each of source positions. Then, the mask is formed for each data set by cone beam projecting onto the plane of detector portions of the source scan path that are above and below the source position that acquired the data set being masked. Each masked data set is convolution processed along several parallel lines that are in parallel and in direction of parallel projection, into data set of line that is tangent to the scan path at source position to generate filtered data set which is then subjected to convolution processing. An Independent claim is also included for describing apparatus for three-dimensional computerized tomography imaging of ROI in object.
