The invention concerns a method and a device for treating fuel for an internal combustion engine. The fuel for the engine is sucked up from a confined volume subjected to a magnetic field or comprising a device for treatment by magnetic field (7). Said confined volume can form part of the tank or be included in a chamber immersed in the tank or external thereto.
