<p>A rewriteable code strip containing encoded code in distinct bar-space patterns is provided comprising a thermochromic material having two optical states and a plurality of bit areas therein. Each of the bit areas can be in either one of the two optical states to thereby form the distinct bar-space patterns. The optical state of each of the bit areas is switchable thus enabling rewriting of the distinct bar-space patterns.</p> |
