The present invention pertains to the field of systems for receiving a digital radio signal and more precisely relates to receivers for receiving radio signals coded by a pseudo-noise sequence. These receivers can be used in global positioning systems such as the GPS in the United States and the GLONASS in Russia. These receivers compensate for the influence of narrow-band interference and include to this end a processor-controlled device for automatically adjusting the amplification, a multiple-level analog-to-digital converter as well as an additional correlation channel for detecting sinusoidal interference. The additional correlation channel includes a digital carrier generator, quadrature mixers as well as a plurality of accumulators. The information from the output of the accumulators is read by the processor in which the presence (or absence) of interference is detected and the amplitude of said interference is estimated. According to the results, the processor controls the amplification of the signal in the device for automatically adjusting the amplification.
|
