The invention relates to a wheel chair with independent wheel suspension (11) at least for the rear wheels. Said independent wheel suspension for each rear wheel comprises a swinging rod (17) whose one end (16) is mounted on a chassis (8) in a pivoting manner and whose other, free end (18) receives the rear wheel concerned in a pivoting manner. Between the chassis (8) and each swinging rod (17) said independent wheel suspension has a spring and/or damping element (22) and a unit (26) for supporting both swinging rods (17) cross-wise to the direction of travel of the wheel chair (1). According to the invention each swinging rod (17) is configured as a plate and in its vertical pivoting movements is laterally guided by the support unit (26). The wheel chair provided for by the invention is characterized by improved wheel suspension and is capable of absorbing forces occurring cross-wise to the direction of travel of the wheel chair effectively and in a simple manner. |
