The thrust unit consists of a supporting plate (15) which is able to move transversely relative to the lengthwise axis of the ski, surmounted by a thrust plate (16) which can rotate relative to the supporting plate about the lengthwise axis (46), performing a limited movement. The supporting plate can turn about a vertical pivot (23) and is returned to its central position by a spring (31). It is mounted on top of a base plate (13) which has an upper surface film (20) with a low friction coefficient and is attached to the top of the ski.
