<p>The present invention relates to a device for opening glass ampoules, wherein said device comprises a body (1) with an opening (2) for introducing the head of an ampoule therein. This device also includes a system for separating the head by breaking the same at the neck of the ampoule. This system consists of a glass-cutter (4) which is arranged in the cavity (3) of the body (1) at the edge of the opening (2). This device further includes a capillary structure (5) which is impregnated with a colouring and disinfecting composition. The head of this structure (5) surrounds the glass-cutter (4), while the wall of the body (1) cavity (3) opposite the glass-cutter (4) comprises at least one recess (6) for supporting the head of the ampoule. The device structure enables its use for opening any kind of ampoule while preserving the sterility of the ampoule content.</p> |
