The application describes a coating composition including 25 % to 99 %, by weight, of a waterborne silicone resin and 1 to 75 % by weight of a crumb rubber selected from the group consisting of natural rubber, synthetic butyl rubber, ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) rubber or a combination thereof. The coating according to the present invention, is useful as a mari ne coating, an acoustic coating, for caulking and chinking, an automotive coati ng (i.e. undercoating) as well as an architectural coating for stucco, stipple and roofing.
