PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a route calculator capable of calculating highly reliable link cost and selecting the most optimum link (path). SOLUTION: The path calculation part 26 of a route calculator 12 read the link length of a calculation object from a map information memory 20, selects and average velocity at running the link according to the continuation of the link length, number of lane and short link length and determines a vehicle speed coefficient Ki. The vehicle speed coefficient Ki is corrected according to the link shape. The route calculation part 26 calculates link cost, based on the determined or corrected vehicle speed coefficient Ki and after the link (route) calculation, it guides the user to the path via a route guide controller 28. |
