PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a rod to be stably maintained. SOLUTION: A vehicle hood device serves to protect walkers by lifting up a vehicle hood provided to the front of the vehicle, that covers the upper portion of an engine room by a predetermined amount using lifting up means in case of emergency. The lifting up means is provided with a cylinder 3 and a rod 7 that moves a piston 5 up and down within the cylinder 3. The upper end of the cylinder 3 is provided with thick guide means 9 for guiding on the peripheral surface of the rod so as to be stably maintained. |
