PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shaft construction method, by which the term of works can be shortened, quality is improved and safety can be ensured and efficiency is enhanced. SOLUTION: The shaft construction method consists of a shaft excavation process, in which slurry having a water head W higher than groundwater pressure L is stored in an excavated pit 10 and excavation is conducted, and a cage insertion process, in which a cage 1, in which the inside and the outside are surrounded by forms 2, 3 made of steel, is inserted into the excavated pit 10. The shaft construction method is executed by a batholith-concrete placing process, in which batholith concrete 7 is placed after the insertion of the cage 1, and a building-frame concrete placing process, in which concrete C is placed between the inside and outside forms 2, 3 made of steel and a building frame is built.
