PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a further simplified filter housing by making the filter housing convenient to remarkably easily change filters within a short time and easy to be cleaned by making a plurality of filter cartridges to be a pack and collectively changing the filter cartridges and simplifying opening and closing of the cover of the filter housing. SOLUTION: This filter housing is constituted of a plurality of filter cartridges 2 assembled unitedly, vertical cylindrical shells 3 housing the filter cartridges, a supporting member 9 for supporting a plurality of sets of vertical cylindrical shells 3 while uprightly standing the shells, a cover 11 for covering a filtrate chambers 11a of a plurality of the sets of the vertical cylindrical shells 3, a flange part 10 of the cover 11 for tightly fastening the cover 11, a tightly fastening means 13 so installed over the flange part 10 of the cover 11 and the outer rim of the supporting member 9 as to tightly fasten the cover 11, elevating means 29, 29a for lifting up the cover 11 at the time of unfastening the tightly fastening means 13, and supporting poles 20, 24, 26 for holding the elevating means 29, 29a, and the supporting member 9.
