PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit strengthening of the so-called foundation of a vehicle during operation, to improve the durability of a hydraulic cylinder, and optimize the hydraulic cylinder for mounting in a specialized vehicle not to mentioning that a hydraulic cylinder as a structural member enables predetermined contraction movement during running of a vehicle. SOLUTION: This suspension unit has a hydraulic cylinder 1 connected between the body side and the axle side of a vehicle. The hydraulic cylinder 1 comprises a cylinder body 1a, a piston rod moveably inserted via a piston 1c into the cylinder body 1a, and a rod side hydraulic chamber R1 and a piston side hydraulic chamber R2 divided by the piston 1c. The rod side hydraulic chamber R1 and the piston side hydraulic chamber R2 are always connected to an accumulator A via pilot operated check valves 2a, 2b, respectively, while selectively connected to a hydraulic source P via a switching valve. Even when the aforementioned two pilot operated check valves 2a, 2b are closed, a leakage oil outflow portion which permits the outflow of leakage oil is provided in one of the pilot operated check valves 2a, 2b connected to the rod side hydraulic chamber R1. |
