PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-contact memory element for recording contents of the information, etc., recorded on a magnetic tape, at the position corresponding to the request of a recording/reproducing device, etc., using a magnetic tape cartridge. SOLUTION: The non-contact memory element 30 arranged so as to make the angle of nearly 45 deg. against the bottom surface of a cartridge case is provided at the inside corner part 3A of a lower case 3 in the front side of the direction for loading the magnetic tape cartridge, where an opening part 26 for pulling out the magnetic tape is not arranged, or at either one of the inside corner parts 3B, 3C of the lower case 3 in the rear side of the direction for loading the magnetic tape cartridge.
