PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the protectiveness of an internally housed disk-like recording medium by forming both lateral sides of a package to inwardly projecting lines and holding the disk-like recording medium by these projecting lines. SOLUTION: The package is produced from a cardboard or paper board and has a bag-like form. The package is made into the bag form by bending overlap widths 1, bending the package at the portions of the projecting lines 3 at the center and bonding the overlap widths 1 to each other. The positions to be provided with the projecting lines 3 are both lateral sides of the package 4, i.e., the portions of the fold in the central part and the fold in the base side part of a cap 2. The distance between the two projecting lines 3 existing on both lateral sides is set at the distance slightly larger than the diameter of the disk-like recording medium to be housed, by which the disk-like recording medium is effectively held. The package described above does not require special fabrication stages and parts for adhering a nonwoven fabric or film to the inside surface of the paper board.
