PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase a taking number especially in the molding of a small-sized product and to enable the multicolor or multilayer molding of the small-sized product in a valve gate device used in a mold apparatus for the injection molding of a thermoplastic resin. SOLUTION: Two material passages 17A, 17B respectively communicating with two gates 12A, 12B are formed to one valve casing 14 and two valve pins 23A, 23B opening and closing both gates 12A, 12B are incorporated in the valve casing 14. By this constitution, the interval between both gates 12A, 12B can be reduced without being restricted by the outer diameter of the valve casing 14. If both valve pins 23A, 23B are driven mutually independently, two- color molding or two-layer molding is also possible.
