PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure high dimensional accuracy at a coated portion which is provided at the periphery of the core grid of the ring portion by controlling occurrence of burr around the coated portion. SOLUTION: In a steering wheel W, at the periphery of a die cast metal core grid 4 with a U-shaped section at a ring portion R, coated portions 8, 9 made of synthetic resin are sequentially formed along a planar circumferential direction. The core grid 4 at the ring portion is constructed to have a blocked portion 5 for burr removal, at a portion of the end face 8b at the coated portion 8, to block a groove 4a at the inner circumferential side with a U-shaped section.
