PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an information recording method and device which can convert data at high speed by enabling data conversion among codes in which formats are different respectively. SOLUTION: After a time series information signal is band-divided into a first band group, a first code column obtained by encoding a spectrum signal spectrum-covered with a first block length is inputted to a transmission circuit 1901, a first code column from the transmission circuit 1901 is sent to a code converting circuit 1902, after it is band-divided into a second band group, and it is converted to a second code column having a mode which is spectrum- converted and encoded with a second block length. This second code column is recorded in a recording medium by a recording circuit 1903. Thereby, a code column in which a signal converted to a spectrum signal with a comparatively long block length after band-division is encoded and transmitted is converted to a code column being same as a column in which a signal converted to a spectrum signal with a comparatively short block length after band-division is encoded, and it is recorded in a recording medium.
