PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To well maintain the detergency to the materials to be washed, i.e., a dirt removing mechanism for a long period of time by joining a rubber sheet to the rear surface of a mat raw fabric formed by tufting piles to a base fabric and forming these piles of cut piles and loop cuts shorter than the piles. SOLUTION: The dirt removing mat 30 is constituted by joining the rubber sheet 4 via an adhesive to the rear surface of the mat raw fabric 3 formed by tufting the piles 2 to the base fabric 1. The piles 2 consist of the cut piles 21 and the loop piles 22 shorter than these piles. Both piles are tufted respectively rectilinearly and at every other one row. The loop piles 22 are covered and concealed by the cut piles 21. Since the loop piles 22 have excellent elasticity, the pressure by the weight of the materials to be washed is eventually absorbed by the loop piles 22 and the falling and collapsing of the cut piles 21 are prevented. Then, the elasticity of the mat 30 is maintained for a long period of time.
