PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a subject him/herself to operate from aligning to measuring by switching control from the first control means for moving to a prescribed position at the time of moving the to an opposite eye to the second control means for aligning an ophthalmologic examination means to an opposite eye based on the detection of an alignment position detecting means. SOLUTION: At the time of ophthalmologic examination, the image of the anteriorocular segment of the eye to be examined E is picked up by an image pickup element 17 and when a cornea reflex image is projected, alignment correction in the X-Y direction of the eye to be examined and an ophthalmologic examination part is executed. Namely, a part of obtained image is inputted to an image composing circuit 51 and on the other hand, the other part of the image is A/D-converted and stored in an image memory 54. Then, CPU 54 extracts the two luminescent point of the cornea reflex image to execute calculation with the center positions of the luminescent points as coordinates to obtain the deviation value to a proper position. After then, the moving distances of the ophthalmic examination part 3 respectively in X to Z directions are calculated to drive-control each motor 6, 8, 9 three- dimensionally driving the ophthalmic examination part. Next, in ophthalmic refraction measurement, a fixation index is moved and the reflected luminous flux of a measuring light source is photodeteced to calculate refraction power.
