PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To match the arranging pitch of ink supply needles such that the arranging pitch of ink supply openings is not regulated by that of the ink containing chambers y differentiating the arranging pitches of the ink outlets and ink inlets of the ink containing chambers. SOLUTION: An ink cartridge is formed with identical size so that it has compatibility. Ink supply openings 4a-4e are made at a constant interval in the bottom face 6, contiguously to each other in this case, in correspondence with ink supply needles projecting from a recording head at a constant interval regardless of the dimensions of ink containing chambers 2a-2e. The ink supply openings 4a-4e are arranged while being shifted to the wall of a cartridge body 1 in the arranging direction. In order to make constant ink consumption of the entire cartridge, width of the ink containing chambers 2a-2e is differentiated from each other and the ink supply openings 4a-4e are arranged at a constant interval. |
