PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove the malodor by decomposing oil and carbohydrates by using a grease trap itself as a reaction tank and providing the environment and condition for completely promoting the catalysis of oxygen. SOLUTION: A reaction bed 11 is fixed in the water in a grease trap 15 (tank). A pump 1 is driven, oil and floating scum are collected in the pan 7 of a suction pipe 2 and sent to a discharge pipe 3, and the malodorous air is sucked from a suction port 8 by an ejector 4, sent to a jet pipe 5 as an air- mixed liq., jetted from an injection port, agitated and replenished with oxygen. A heater 10 is controlled by a thermistor 9, the temp. optimum to an oxygen reaction is maintained, and the jetted air is activated with oxygen. A medium in the reaction basket 11 is selected to adjust the hydrogen ion concn. of a liq. reactant to promote the reaction conjointly with the temp. and oxygen. Consequently, the malodor sucked from the suction port 8 is jetted into the liq. reactant and decomposed, and the problem of malodor is solved.
