PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for accurately measuring the degree of true sphere even by using a reference surface having a smaller effective radius than the surface to be inspected. SOLUTION: Measurement is made possible even by using a reference surface having small effective radius by separating a region 9 to be measured into 4 partial measurement regions 12. A this moment, an optical axis 1 of the inspected lens 3 is made to agree with gravity direction (g) so that the measurement of the individual partial measurement regions 12 is done commonly accurately, the rotation axis 8 of the inspected lens 3 direct to the gravity direction (that is, the optical axis and the rotation axis of the inspected lens agree) and the optical axis of the Fizeau reference surface 4 is inclined from the light axis of the surface to be inspected to measure the partial measurement regions 12. By rotating the rotation axis in turn, each partial measurement region 12 is measured.
