PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent at least one of a cover and a sheet loading body from being damaged by providing one of the cover and the sheet loading body with a buffer structure for softening a shock of the cover and catching the cover when the cover is opened downward. SOLUTION: When an opening and closing door 11 is opened about a support shaft 12, the opening and closing door 11 is laid down through a position indicated by a dotted line on a sheet discharge tray 72 as indicated by a solid line. At this time, a spring 74 is bent by the weight of the opening and closing door 11 and the laying force, so that the sheet discharge tray 72 is tilted from the position indicated by a dotted line to a position indicated by a solid line to approach a sheet discharge tray base plate 71. The spring 74 is increased in reaction force as the opening and closing door 11 is laid down. The sheet discharge tray 72 catches the opening and closing door 11 while softening a shock caused by interference of the opening and closing door 11. The sheet discharge tray 72 in a printer 110 includes a buffer structure having the spring 74 for energizing the sheet discharge tray 72 upward. |
