PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent damage to optical parts in a chassis at a detonation of a light emitter and relax the sound of the detonation of the light emitter leaking outside. SOLUTION: A projector includes a light source 2 having a light emitter 20 and a frame 1 for housing the light source 2 in a chassi 3. Air charging means for supplying cool air to the light source 2 and air evacuating means for evacuating air from the light source 2 are provided in the frame 1. A periphery of the frame 1 is sealed by covering a front of the frame 1 with transparent material. An air passage from the air charging means to the light source 2 and an air passage from the light source 2 to the air exhausting means inside the frame 1 are divided into a plurality of spaces by plates having a plurality of opened through holes 18. The plates intercept a smooth escape of a sound from the light source 2.
