Method and device for operating an atmospheric, in particular a fully premixed gas burner

A gas burner which operates at atmospheric pressure has gas jets which inject gas into a mixing chamber (12) topped by burners (16). The gas jets drag air into the mixing chamber and a blower (26) provides enhanced air flows. A variable control valve (30) regulates the air flow to match the burn rate. The air jets can be angled w.r.t. the gas jets or can be arranged as ring jets around each gas jet.. The air jets can be positioned at a different height to the gas jets depending on the mixing effect required.
