PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject polyolefin resin composition that is excellent in smoothness of molded surfaces and resistance to heat and can form an insulation cable, by immediately sheathing the coated wire, when it is used for wire coating. SOLUTION: This polymer composition comprises (A) a base polymer that contains a straight-chain medium or low density polyethylene with a degree of dispersion (Mw/Mn) of >=4, and has an average density of 0.915 g/cm3-0.935 g/cm3, a thermal strain rate (according to JIS K 6723) of <=40%, (B) a carrier polymer A containing an organic unsaturated silane represented by the formula: RR'SiY2 (R is a monovalent olefinically unsaturated hydrocarbon group; Y is a hydrolyzable organic group; R' is a monovalent hydrocarbon group other than aliphatic unsaturated hydrocarbons or is equal to Y) and (C) a carrier polymer B containing a silanol condensation catalyst and an antioxidant where the total amount of the component B and component C is preferably 3-15 wt.%.
