PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a time for exchanging a water purifying device cartridge distinctly recognized by providing the water purifying device with a cover for covering the water purifying device cartridge and a water flow passage formed by this cover and the cartridge and vertically dividing the cover to make the cover freely slidable. SOLUTION: The cover 11 is divided to cover upper and lower parts 11a, 11b and is assembled freely slidably by means of a connector 15. This connector 15 is connected to the cover upper part 11a by means of screws and is provided with a collar part at another one end. This collar part is provided with a groove and the cover upper part is made freely slidable with the cover lower part 11b and made watertight by means of an O-ring 17. Springs 16 are built into the collar part of the cover lower part 11b and the collar part of the connector 15. The spring force of these springs 16 usually has the force to overcome the water pressure of the inside part 2a of the water purifying device. A coating for warning which is distinctly recognizable is applied on the outer peripheral surface 15a of the connector 15. When the water purifying device cartridge 12 is clogged, the water pressure in the inside part 2a of the water purifying device rises abnormally and the spring force of the springs 16 is overcome by the water pressure. The cover upper part 11a is then moved upward and the outer peripheral surface 15a of the connector 15 is exposed outside.
