PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prolong the useful life of members made of the carbon steel material and to be engaged or slid with each other by combining engaging members or sliding members respectively having a previously hardened surface coated with the molybdenum coating. SOLUTION: Members made of the carbon steel material finished at 2.0μm or less of surface mean roughness and to be engaged or slid with each other are formed by combining each member having a previously hardened surface coated with the molybdenum coating. With this structure, in addition to the improvement of the abrasion resistance due to a high degree of hardness of the engaging or sliding members such as a warm gear and a gear wheel, and a gear and a gar, since the molybdenum group coating layer formed in the surface thereof shows the lubricating work, coating of the grease is unnecessary for a long time after coating the grease before starting the operation, and the labor of periodical or irregular maintenance can be saved.
