PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remarkably improve the operability so as to enable a user to transfer data only by depressing a key, by analyzing whether a destination application is receptive to the transfer of a specified type or not. SOLUTION: A device 12 judging whether various transfer methods can be executed check a data base 23 at first and inspects whether destination application 20 are listed in the data base 23 or not. The data base 23 contains the various specified transfer method of the listed destination applications 20. When the destination application 20 is listed in the data base 23, the data base 23 displays that the transfer 51 of digital picture data is to be executed, on a transfer execution means 15. Digital picture data is transferred in accordance with the transfer method designated by the data base 23. Digital picture data becomes data 16 transferred to the destination application 20.
