PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To connect a telephone set to a line side with a call and to perform communication, when facsimile communication is ended during the communication by the telephone set and a call is received from an opposite party facsimile. SOLUTION: A main control part 5 switches a switching device 4, connects a line A and a facsimile control part 3, and performs the facsimile communication. At this time, when the telephone set 1 is off the hook the main control part 5 switches a switching device 2, connects the telephone set 1 and the line B, and the telephone set 1 goes under communication. Thereafter, when the facsimile communication is ended and a calling signal arrives from the opposite facsimile, the call is notified from the facsimile control part 3 to the main control part 5. When notified of this, the main control part 5 notifies a report control part 6, generates calling sound by a reporting means 7 (ringing of calling buzzer) and notifies an operator. The operator controls the switching device 2 from an operation part 8 and connects the telephone set 1 to the line A. Thus, during the communication, the call from the opposite party facsimile is coped with and the communication is performed.
