PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake inspection jig for a linear motor elevator, simply capable of holding a brake in a position excellent in working properties. SOLUTION: In this brake inspecting jig, each of pipelike long bodies 17 is set up on two buffers 12a and 12b, while each of integrated flat plates 18 is installed on both upper end of these long bodies 17, and at the time of inspecting two brakes 8a and 8b, each lower part of counterweights 4 is made into a state colliding with the flat plates 8, and these brakes 8a and 8b are made so as to be held at the specified height position in conjunction with each axial length of the long bodies 17.
