PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a sanitary wood pail with improved durability and high sealing properties. SOLUTION: At least either of tenons 3 or mortices 4 are formed on the end of a unit frame material 2, and the mortices 4 of unit frame materials 2 adjacent to each other are fitted together to form a frame assembly formed of a plurality of unit frame materials 2 bonded into the annular shape. Then a wood pail 1 is manufactured by cutting and shaving the inner wall face side and the outer wall face side of the flame assembly. Also the frame assembly formed of setting and bonding the tenons 3 and the mortices 4 of respective unit frame materials 2 is clamped by a water-proof bonding agent. The inner wall face side and the outer wall face side of the frame assembly are cut and shaved to manufacture the wood pail 1. As a result, durability and sealing properties of the wood pail 1 are improved.
