PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a thin coil which is thin and high in inductance and a transformer and an electric equipment which are each provided therewith. SOLUTION: A thin-type coil 20 consists of a flat plate-like core 4, which is of continuous length and formed of soft magnetic material and provided with a coil-wound part 4b and extensions 4a located at the ends of the coil- wound part 4b and a coil 6 wound on the coil-wound part 4b with a prescribed number of turns. A thickness T of the core 4 is shorter than W0 and a length L1 of the extension 4a, and the W0 of the extension 4a is longer than a width W1 of the coil-wound part 4b but is shorter than an overall length L0 of the core 4.
