PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively eliminate the state of frequent occurrence of dead stop of a loom. SOLUTION: This inspection apparatus is provided with a period setting means 20 and an alarming means 30. The period setting means 20 starts the working period of the alarming means 30 when the weft signal Sy from a feeler F first exceeds a preset level T. The alarming means 30 detects the lowering of the level of the weft signal Sy during the working period, outputs an alarm signal Sa and indicate the uncontrollable motion of the weft Y.
