UNIT FOR POSITIONING FLEXIBLE PRINTING PLATE ONTO PLATE CYLINDER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a unit for positioning a flexible printing plate onto a plate cylinder and shifting the printing plate in a rotary press. SOLUTION: A plate cylinder 3 has a groove 1 extending in parallel with the axis of rotation and arranged with a unit for positioning a printing plate. Lateral movement of the plate cylinder 3 is performed by an external means and a cam ring 14 disposed on the outside of the plate cylinder 3 while directing toward the external means. A roller is arranged onto the inner fringe parts 12, 13 of the cam ring 14 by means of a screw 62 and a fastener 60 and secured to a movable plate held freely with respect to the plate cylinder 3 by a holding means 102. Two cam rollers 17 fixed to the bottom of the groove 1 in the plate cylinder 3 control the motion of two rollers 15 fixed to the base plate to reverse inclining motion.
