PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a safe and completely nutritious fodder for an animal, containing various kinds of nutrients in natural forms in good valance, and further to provide its production method. SOLUTION: This fodder is produced by using a raw material obtained by dipping a hulled rice, rice bran containing embryo, or the embryo in a warm water to enrich γ-aminobutyric acid, or a germinated hulled rice obtained by dipping the hulled rice in water at a temperature regulated so as to be 20-40 deg.C to germinate the hulled rice, or dipping the hulled rice in the water for a prescribed time to absorb the water and allowing the water-absorbed hulled rice to stand in the water at the temperature regulated so as to be 20-40 deg.C for a prescribed time to germinate the hulled rice, and producing the fodder by using the germinated hulled rice by a conventional method for forming the fodder such as a dried pet food. The obtained fodder is effective as the fodder for various kinds of animals, especially therapeutic diet and healthy diet for an obese animal. |
