PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To arrange a heater in an air-taking-in system for an internal combustion engine without causing problems in housing. SOLUTION: An intake device for a multicylinder internal combustion engine has an intake manifold 18 having a plenum chamber commonly used by a plurality of engine cylinders, and a take-in duct 22 opened into the plenum chamber 20 for supplying peripheral air thereinto. An electric heater 26 is arranged inside the plenum chamber 20, at a part of passages of air entering the plenum chamber from the take-in duct 22.
